Dr. George W. Truett's home place is located at the Truett Baptist Camp near Hayesville, NC. Dr. Truett was born and reared in this house on a large farm.
The front porch was a wonderful place to rest after a long day working on the farm.
Mr. Truett encouraged his children to read. The Holy Bible was the favorite book in their home.
I imagine the Truett family entertained many visitors before this fireplace in their home.
